Stuttgarter Tanznacht – Invitation

Treacle have been invited to create an interactive installation for the Stuttgarter Tanznacht 2009. Schlaflabor will offer the festival audience an opportunity to sleep, for as long as they wish, throughout the event. Each bed is playfully dedicated to nightshift workers that we have met in the vacinity of the theatre.

The event takes place on the 6th of June 2009, running from 6pm to 6am. More information coming soon.

Talking Shop – Invitation

Between February and April we will be collaborating with Martina von Holn to undertake a short residency in Blackburn. Talking Shop responds to, interacts with and documents local shops and small businesses within an area known as Audley Range.

More information coming soon.

A lesson on walking – Part 1

Election campaign

We are currently taking a break from our usual work to support my dad Daniel Wimberley as he campaigns to get elected to the States of Jersey, with policies based on environmental responsibility and social justice. Please keep you fingers crossed!

26.11.08 – Result!

Daniel Wimberley is now deputy of St Mary in Jersey, the beautiful island on which I grew up. It was a bizarre and nervewracking experience watching all the votes being counted like some sort of extremely fast card game. I wish I had been able to record it.

Festival der Regionen – Research Residency

Following a site visit in July, we are very pleased to have been invited back to Auwiesen in Austria for a two week research residency in November, looking towards developing a new project for the 2009 Festival der Regionen. The theme for this edition of the festival is normality.
