Treacle have been invited to take part in FRED 2008 with a new site-responsive intervention.
Regulars is an interactive installation that takes place between three pubs in the Lake District and three pubs located in the rural Bavarian region of Chiemgau. A screen, microphone and camera are installed at each location, a live web-cam that ‘twins’ two pubs together for the duration of the festival; virtual regulars and parallel realities, propping up the bar.
FRED 2008 is taking place between the 26th of September and the 12th of October. Artists from around the globe will be creating new work in some of England’s most spectacular landscapes in what has become Europe’s largest annual festival of site-specific art.
