March 2002, The Sefton Park Palmhouse, Liverpool
A performance intervention
Over the course of one week our fictional company known as re-collection operated at the Sefton Park Palm House. Here we collected personal memories for corporate storage so that they would never be forgotten. Re-collection then redistrabuted these on the final day together with strict guidlines and care instructions to members of the public it felt were suitably matched.
When all of our carefully kept memories had been redistrabuted the company decided that there was no future in memories. We turned the ‘memory bank’ into a BBQ and scattered the ashes outside the Palm House.
