Archive 2 is dedicated to our programme for young people, who have worked alongside professional practitioners and members of Treacle Theatre Company to devise site-specific events. The sites we have inhabited have been a catalyst for creative expression, a starting point for exploring how we place ourselves, and our thoughts within an environment. These new associations have helped us sensitively relate to the space, which becomes open to new interpretations and functions.
The ownership over the project remains with the young people involved who are offered the space to freely explore their ideas and responses. We provide a framework of structured workshops, with carefully considered events marking the culmination or stages of development within our creative process.
