Short Artistic Statement / Current Practice

Much of my work is drawn towards themes that surround community and home, our position within these structures and the relationships we have to the personal, local and global communities that surround, cut across and overlap our lives. Who do we place as outsiders and insiders? How can we disrupt or question existing structures? How can we create new community structures?

I am currently developing a series of performances, experiments and investigations that explore our relationships to and within an urban environment.

These macro-projects, maps, documentations and interventions deal with notions of solidarity and personal space, of community and exclusion, of nets, holes and boundaries, fluidity and rigidity. Each investigation expands, defines or confines space.
