Background of attention

Artists: Kaspar Wimberley and Susanne Kudielka
Intervention

At sites of special interest the same ‘shots’ are photographed by countless tourists. If you were to place yourself within this frame, you will have been captured, archived and shared amongst strangers all over the world, time after time after time. I would like to slip into this background and leave behind a trail of texts, creating fractured narratives, posing questions and inviting response, doing this without being noticed until the photos are viewed at a later date; a delayed intervention.

Background of attention continues an interest with the background, the unnoticed drama that resides there and the moments when we unknowingly find ourselves at that same location.
